Smart Savings: Rebates and Incentives for Your HVAC Upgrade
Investing in a new, high-efficiency HVAC system not only improves your comfort but can also significantly reduce your energy bills. At May Heating and Air Conditioning, we help you navigate the various federal, state, and utility programs designed to make these upgrades more affordable.
- Federal Tax Credits (25C): Homeowners are eligible for a tax credit of up to 30% of the cost of installing qualifying energy-efficient equipment, such as heat pumps, central air conditioners, and furnaces, with specific annual limits. This credit does expire on December 31st, 2025 and all installations must be complete by then.
- Local Utility Rebates: Depending on your location, you may qualify for rebates from local utility companies for purchasing and installing ENERGY STAR® certified HVAC systems and smart thermostats.
- Choosing Efficient Systems: We’ll guide you through selecting the right system with high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings for air conditioners and AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) ratings for furnaces, maximizing your long-term savings.
